Clear Cutting Work
CLEAR CUTTING
Clear cutting is the process of cutting most if not all of the timber in a stand of trees. Clear cutting is most often used in mature, unproductive forest types, or where the trees need to be cut to let in more sunlight in order to promote other types of forest ecosystem or to allow an even aged plantation stand to re reestablished. Where clear cuttings have been done, it is often the case, especially in the south, for that forest to be replanted in Southeast Pine. This species is especially adapted to the soil types and will allow the shortest return on your investment.
